Loved this. I’ve never believed I had to have permission. Just decide what you want and do it. You cannot worry about failing, you will learn, and that’s not failing!

The permission factor is such an important thing to flag. That’s why I advocate for people to step into a character and pretend life’s a movie. It instantly helps if you think “what would my character do if this was a movie? She’d get a facial. Call a friend” etc

I need to hear this. I am someone who 'just starts' and doing that right now. Switching from a stylist career into fashion tech. Haven't enjoyed a steady salary in years! However, the roadblocks and fear can be de-railing. Love this reminder to keep f'ing going - because achieving the end goal would be everything!

Using agency is how I also started my media brand Working Women Agency. From starting it, it has brought in new professional and personal connections, additional income streams, and a deeper purpose outside of a 9to5.

There is no right time— you just have to give yourself the permission to go all in on YOU.

This is so powerful, thank you for sharing 🤍 one of my favorite phrases is “if not now, then when.” Often times, you just need to do it!

I’ve followed the “safe path” my whole life. I've been the good student, had the stable job in a pretty lucrative contract research career. But this past year broke something open. Funding dried up, the field feels unstable, and I realized I’ve been waiting for someone else to tell me it’s okay to pursue the things I actually love.

I’ve wanted to write publicly for over ten years but always told myself I needed to be more prepared, more polished, more something. Your line about confidence coming after action, not before, finally pushed me to start. I launched a Substack last month in a space where I have passion but no credentials. It feels terrifying. And also, for the first time in a long time, it feels like I’m choosing myself.

Thank you for naming this mindset so clearly.

I can totally relate to this, it's so well presented...I was the bullied one in middle school, the nerdy kind in high school...but now it's all the contrary, lived in 3 countries, became a lawyer, opened my firm, did many public speaking appearances, helped so many people, got a second career in Interior Design...and nobody would have believed it at the time...

Just remember, decide what you want to accomplish, and do it one day at a time, then look back for a glimpse, and you will see the magic of all of it...and ask yourself, would you do it again? Also, it shows how trying to live without regrets will lead you to live an extraordinary life...

It reminds me of the moral of the story in the recent George Clooney movie " Jay Kelly"...

This is GOLD !!! 🫠🫠💖 thank you so much for this inspirational message. If nothing changes, nothing changes. There is no ‘perfect timing’ and feeling ready is really just a decision . You reminded me , who the am I , with this one . And I remember I am already all of that . I decide I AM All of my desires and more 💖💖
